Location found for Pembroke Market!
We are thrilled to announce the 2010 Pembroke Farmers' Market will be held Saturday mornings on the Town Green in Pembroke Center! Bringing local produce, meats, seafood, baked goods, eggs, flowers and more to our community is the main goal of the market. The Pembroke Farmers' Market will also provide educational information on our towns rich farming history, the benefits of eating local and how to become a local "farmer" yourself! Information for interested vendors will be availble January 2010.
We are very interested in any suggestions on what you would or would not like to see at the Pembroke Farmer's Market. Email farmersmarketpembroke@gmail.com.

First Farmers' Market meeting is a success!
On Tuesday, September 29th about a dozen people gathered to discuss future plans for the Pembroke Farmers' Market! We are very excited about the feedback we are receiving. Interested potential vendors would be selling produce, eggs, herbs, seafood, bake goods and cut flowers. Bob Miller, owner of the Gardner's Choice on Rte. 53, addressed the group about his nursery as a possible location for the farmers' market. We are still in the process of determining the location and time. Friday afternoons worked well for some. We will be making these decisions over the next couple of weeks and will keep you informed. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or suggestions! And THANK YOU to everyone for attending the meeting. With your help, Pembroke will have a great market!

Sowing the seeds

Here are a couple of great articles from the Pembroke Express and Pembroke Mariner about the market. Thanks to both of them for getting the word out. We are already starting to get calls and emails from potential vendors. Whether you are a vendor or would simply like to see a market in Pembroke, please send us an email at farmersmarketpembroke@gmail.com and we'll keep you posted.
Thanks

Welcome!

Hi there,
Welcome to the new website for the Pembroke Farmers Market that will, hopefully, launch during the summer of 2010. Christine Falk and Matt York are sister and brother and are in the process of securing a location, vendors, permits and more. This week we met with the Selectmen who were supportive of our idea. In the coming months, we’ll be holding meetings at the town hall to find out what fellow Pembrokians want to see at their market. We also will need volunteers that can help us bring this to fruition. This year, Hanover, Hanson and Duxbury all have launched markets and there’s no reason to believe that Pembroke can’t have one as well. Please spread the word about our website and check back regularly for updates. If you’d like to join our mailing list so that you can keep up on the latest news, please send an email to
